2024 ~ 40 Over 40
Pearls of Wisdom
PAM LEWIS
What are your thoughts on aging?
I don't feel I look my age or act my age. Most people think I'm in my late 40's or early 50's. I think some of my wrinkles give it away though (LOL)! Age is a state of mind, so I love life and enjoy all it has to offer for as long as God will grant me on this earth.
Younger women, might think that it’s scary getting older. What wonderful things can women look forward to at your age?
Growing old is a gift, one that should be embraced. Don't let the word "Old" or the numbers that go with it get in your head. Be thankful for the beauty you have seen, the things you have accomplished, and the people you have met along the journey called life.
Share tips on how you celebrate yourself, what you do for fun, and self care.
I live life to the fullest, love to travel, and do fun things. Within the last few years, I have ridden a Camel on the beach in Mexico, hopped into a car with a total stranger and driven for 6 hours (long story), acted like I was in my 30s, and finally met my soul mate.
Share one experience or piece of advice that would lift other women up and empower them.
Got divorced in my early 60s. Starting over at this age was a challenge, dating at this age even weirder, but kept the faith and now I'm happier than ever. Never lose faith!
What would you tell your 14-year-old self?
I wouldn't change a thing! My life has made me who I am today.
What is your definition of success?
Happiness.
Who inspired you as a little girl? Who inspires you now?
My parents, especially my Mom.
