What are your thoughts on aging?

With grace and wisdom I feel empowered and rejuvenated. At 50 I thought “Wow, age is showing up”, but with my renewed self I gracefully accept everything with what comes at 50 and beyond.

How is your age group relevant?

For me, I’m a young 54 I embrace my age group were relevant because we have come a long way as women.

Younger women, might think that it's scary getting older. What wonderful things can women look forward to at your age?

You can look forward to knowing more than you did when you were 20 and sharing the experience with all you come across and that’s a lot of knowledge.

Share tips on how you celebrate yourself, what you do for fun, and self care.

The beach is my relaxation. I unwind and create a peaceful scene while bathing in the sun

Share one experience or piece of advice that would lift other women up and empower them.

Always know your worth. In silence, dream of the best you and become it, you are beautiful and loving.

What would you tell your 14-year-old self?

Take all the time you want and need to grow because time in later years flies by quickly.

Who inspired you as a little girl? Who inspires you now? 

As a little girl, Wonder Woman always inspired me with her strength and courage doing things women try to do every day, but she did it all the while being beautiful. She managed her life and career with beauty and dignity. As an adult, my oldest daughter inspires me, my best friend and confidant. She continues to excel in her career while patiently growing her little family.

What was your greatest challenge and how did you overcome it? 

My mother’s passing, because life was always having her on earth in her physical realm. Overcoming it wasn’t easy, but you breathe every day with new beginnings and understand that she lived her life. It’s time to live mine.

What is your definition of success? 

My definition of success is based on my happiness and if I can say I’m pretty happy in life even after 50.

What is the best advice you have been given? 

You’re the captain of your ship. Lead onward.
