What would you tell your 14 year old self?

I would tell my 14-year-old self that she shouldn't be concerned about what other people think of her. She believes that one person thinks one way of her, and that might not be the case. She becomes so concerned about how someone might be thinking of her negatively, when in reality that person doesn’t think that of her at all. I would tell her to get braver sooner.

Define your definition of success.

For me, success is waking up every morning and engaging in activities that bring joy. Launching Noho Home allowed me to pursue my passions, from creative endeavors like art and storytelling to the practical aspects of sales. Drawing from my corporate background, I enjoy merging these elements. Every aspect of it, from creation to sales, is something I genuinely cherish.

What I find challenging is when time constraints limit these pursuits. Time, our most valuable possession. Success, to me, isn't a destination but a continuous journey. Finding happiness throughout this journey, giving my best every day, cherishing loved ones, contributing to the community, and truly engaging with life – that, to me, defines success.

Share what brings you joy, and share some tips on how you celebrate.

Well, my current joy is my new grandson. He's eight months old now and an immense source of happiness for me. I feel incredibly fortunate to spend as much time with him as I do.

My family—my daughters, my husband, my mom, my sister, my brother—and all the people, my aunts and uncles, surround me with boundless love. I feel a deep responsibility to cherish these connections and ensure I spend quality time with them. One of my happy places is at family gatherings, especially our little parties.

Additionally, our microfactory at Noble Home is another source of joy. It's a hub of creativity and innovation where I engage in daily problem-solving, something I truly enjoy—though, of course, as long as I can solve the problem! And I mustn't forget my girlfriends and guy friends; they bring immense joy and laughter to my life. I feel incredibly blessed by the love and support of my community.

Speaking to young women, what wonderful things can women look forward to at your age?

There's more of a sense of calm. As you get older, you start shedding the facade of who you're supposed to be, who you thought you were, and who others want you to be. As you let go of that facade, you can identify what you truly enjoy and who you genuinely want to be. You can then spend time working on that. There's a comfort in your body, even though there might be a few little things here and there. Most people find that as they age, they start to truly feel their body and move in more liberating ways.

Movement is interesting. We're often reserved in our movements when we're younger, unless we have a certain personality. But as you get older, your movements open up and grow, just like your conversations. There's so much to look forward to.
